F. DAVID COX, MD

Dr. F. David Cox received his medical degree from the University of Illinois. He interned at Evanston Hospital, and did his ophthalmology residency at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center where he was chief resident in his final year. Dr. Cox is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

He has been on the active staff of Edward Hospital in Naperville for the past twenty-eight years where he has served in many committee positions and is a past president of the medical staff. Dr. Cox is also on the medical staff of the Naperville Surgical Center where he has been the Medical Director since its inception.

 

Dr. Cox is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist with special interests in modern cataract surgery, the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, and the use of lasers for the management of diabetes, glaucoma, secondary cataract, and cosmetic facial procedures.

He is married with four grown children, and four granddaughters and enjoys playing golf and piano.
